About CardCompass

What is CardCompass?

CardCompass is the UK’s most complete directory of trading card game (TCG) and sports card shops. It lists verified stores covering Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Dragon Ball Super, Flesh and Blood, and sports cards. It’s free to use and built to help players and collectors discover great local shops.

How does CardCompass work?

Browse or search for shopsby city, game type, or collector service. Each listing shows the shop’s verified Google rating, review count, TCGs stocked, and event and collector service information. Filter results to find exactly what you need — from shops that buy collections to venues running weekly tournaments.

How often is store information updated?

Store listings are sourced from verified data and updated regularly. Ratings and review counts reflect verified Google data. Some details like opening hours or specific event schedules may change — always check directly with a shop before visiting.

Finding Card Shops

How do I find a card shop near me?

Use the search page and type your city name, or browse by city from the homepage. You can filter results by game type, collector services, and whether a shop runs events. The Locations page lists all cities with card shops.

Can I search by postcode?

CardCompass currently supports city-level searching. Type your nearest city on the search pageto find shops in your area. More granular location search is something we’re working on.

Can I search by game?

Yes. Filter by any TCG including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, and more. Use the game type filter on the search page, or visit a dedicated game hub — like Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, or One Piece.

Events & Tournaments

Buying & Selling Cards

Which stores buy card collections?

Use the Sell Cards page to find shops that actively buy singles, sealed product, and complete collections. Filter by your city to find local buyers. You can also filter specifically for shops that buy cards or shops offering trade-ins.

Which stores offer trade-ins?

On the Sell Cards page, select the “Trade-ins” filter to find shops that accept your cards in exchange for other cards or store credit. Trading in often gives better value than a straight cash sale.

What is store credit?

Store credit is an in-store currency you receive instead of cash when selling or trading your cards. Most shops offer better value for store credit than cash — typically a 10–30% premium. It’s a great option if you plan to buy more cards. Find shops offering store credit on the Sell Cards page.

Grading Services

Which stores offer PSA grading submissions?

Visit the Grading page and select the PSA filter to find shops offering PSA submission services near you. These shops handle the international shipping and customs process so you can submit locally.

Which grading services are available at UK shops?

CardCompass tracks shops offering PSA, BGS (Beckett), and CGC grading submissions. PSA is the most widely available at UK shops. Use the Grading page to filter by provider and city.

How do card grading drop-offs work?

Find a shop on the Grading page that offers submissions. Contact the shop to confirm current pricing, service tiers, and turnaround estimates. Drop off your cards at the shop — they handle packaging, international shipping, and customs to the grader on your behalf. When your graded cards arrive back, the shop will contact you for collection.
